Final School Project

I am currently working on my final project towards my art A-level. From the options given, I chose 'Shadows' which has allowed me to develop my 'interior design' creativity by focusing on my physical space and evolving this thought process to focusing on my mental space too. 

My room is my working space where I am isolated and trapped in my chair which is in contrast to my living space which allows me to be free, battling with the shadow that is cast over me.   

I am enjoying exploring the ideas on this project, from my initial in-depth mind map to my research on Adam Pizurny whose ' shadow' work I admire with his use of shapes and repetition, which I am incorporating in my work.

I enjoyed creating my 'chair' piece using digital print as it is reflective of my workspace, using an acetate layer to show not just the physical element of an object but a mental interpretation too of wanting to escape.  

I am excited to see how this project develops.
